Saturday 26th October - Have Fun, Bake Bread - with Gabrielle Jackson.
One day course. Price £75, includes refreshments ,lunch and your creations to take home!
On this course students will have fun learning the history and science behind bread. Learn and take home, no-knead loaves, basic white and wholemeal, yeasted and non–yeasted loaves and granola bread. Gabrielle Jackson has taught baking for many years and her love of creating food, shines through on her courses.
Saturday 2nd November - For the Love of Curry - with Aleem Bhatti
One day course. Price £75, includes refreshments, lunch and your creations to take home!
Of Pakistani heritage, Aleem grew up with his family of truly wonderful cooks. His knowledge of spices, combining and cooking them, has stayed with him for years. You will learn how to buy spices, the differences between them, curry timing and you will cook a grilled starter, two main dishes and more.
Saturday 16th November - The Taste of Fish - with James Clarke

creations to take home!
Learn how to fillet and cook different types of fish with JamesClarke of Route 2, Topsham and 'Travelling Cookery School' and a semi finalist of South West Chef of the Year 2103, an enthusiastic chef with a laid back style, James believes food should be fun and simple.
Saturday 23rd November - Alternative Christmas Cakes - with Gabrielle Jackson. One day course. Price £75, includes refreshments, lunch and your creations to take home!
If you find traditional Christmas cake ends up looking unappealing in a tin with yellow icing, then this is the course for you! We will create tasty, fantastic looking cakes that require no special skills – Caribbean rum cake, Italian lemon cake, gluten free cake and sparkling quick meringue cake.
Sunday 24th November – Real Bread for Beginners - with artisan baker Roger Birt of Red Dog Bakery. One day course. Price £75, includes refreshments, lunch and your creations to take home!
On this course you will learn kneading, proving, shaping and baking so it becomes second nature to you. You'll be taking home a basket of bread and lots of confidence.
Thursday 19th December - Family Ginger Bread Workshop, 4pm- 6pm - with Lori ReichTwo hour course. Price £15 and you take your creations home!
American by birth, British by marriage, Devonian by choice, Lori will help you create your own gingerbread house with your family. Perhaps Granddad, Grandma or Aunty could bring a child along, while mum and dad go Christmas shopping? You only have to bring some sweets!

Learn to bake your teatime favourites - scones, sponges, cookies and more. James is a semi finalist of South West chef of the Year 2013 and runs 'The Travelling Cookery School'.
Sunday 9thFebruary – Cooking with Chocolate – with Gabrielle Jackson. One day course. Price £75, includes refreshments, lunch and your creations to take home!
Known as 'The chocolate lady' and having won the 'Best Chocolate Cake' in Britain competition, there is not much she does not know about chocolate! With Valentine's Day approaching you will learn how to create some delicious chocolate recipes to take home.
Course 9: Sunday 16th February – Italian Bread Course - with artisan baker Roger of Red Dog Bakery. One day course. Price £75, includes refreshments, lunch and your creations to take home!
This one day course will give you the confidence to produce three delicious doughs to create various breads in the comfort of your own home.
Saturday 15th March - Super Sourdough - learn to bake Sourdough bread with artisan baker Roger of Red Dog Bakery. One day course. Price £95, includes refreshments, lunch and your creations to take home!
Sourdough is becoming Red Dogs most popular selling bread at farmers' markets, you will learn Roger's tried and tested process of producing a good sourdough. You will take home a new - found confidence, as well as delicious loaves that you have baked, plus a container of Red Dog sourdough starter.

Midfields Granola will be at Powderham Castle Food Festival on Saturday October 5th Headlining this year's event will be the Incredible Spice Men!
Sharon will be selling Midfields Granola inside the Castle main door entrance so come along and say "Hello".

We are really excited to announce that top chef Rick Stein is to stock Midfields Sweet Freedom range and Midfields Granola Organic Porridge in both his Padstow and Falmouth Delis!
Earlier in February he tasted our products personally and we were on tenterhooks waiting for the phone call to let us know if we'd made it.
Rick owns and runs four restaurants in the small Cornish fishing village of Padstow.
He also has three shops in Padstow - a deli, patisserie and gift shop, and has now opened a deli in Falmouth, all stocking lots of great local handmade foods and gifts including our Granola!
Rick has written 11 cookery books, recorded several cookery series and a couple of one off documentaries.
